I didn't like Rock Music and Wink Wink so I was kinda scared for this album. And these songs are the only reason I don't rate this higher because otherwise amazing album imo. Personal and daring follow-up to BRAT, this album exudes so much doubt and anxiety so yeah I like it a lot.

Com o BRAT até dava pra entender o que ela estava tentando fazer, mas qual o ponto desse álbum? 30 minutos, uma coleção de ringtones e 10 músicas que não chegam nem em 3 minutos (com algumas nem sequer 2 minutos...), que não falam nada com nada. Deve servir, na cabeça dela, como uma transição do sucesso mainstream atingido com o álbum anterior para o que ela pretende fazer a seguir, creio eu, mas como álbum é uma coleção vazia de músicas que não leva a lugar algum, e ainda são, em sua maioria, BEM ruins. Me soa como um projeto claramente feito apressadamente, com uma ideia na cabeça, mas sem dar o tempo necessário para transformá-la em algum seguro, com conteúdo e com razão para existir. Curiosamente, é exatamente isso que a protagonista "Charli XCX" de THE MOMENT faria, o que, talvez, amplie ainda mais a metalinguagem proposta pelo filme - mas, aqui, em sua metade oposta, voltada à mídia sonora, e não ao audiovisual propriamente dito (apesar dos clipes, que também não são lá essas coisas). A presença de David Cronenberg na faixa final deixa ainda mais claro que isso aqui talvez seja uma espécie de statement ignóbil sobre a tentativa dela de ser uma caricatura de si, enquanto popstar, mas no Cinema. Ela parece não querer se desvencilhar disso, afinal, já vem do título: MUSIC, FASHION, FILM; fazendo piada e troça com a cara de todos nós em cada uma dessas áreas, através de projetos que estão mais próximos de representar uma paródia de si mesma do que uma grande expressão do fazer artístico de uma artista multifacetada... que, infelizmente, insiste em fazer arte como uma subcelebridade faria.
