How we write

What you can expect from every ChartFM article: who writes it, where the data comes from, where artificial intelligence comes in and what we do when we get something wrong.

Who writes

Articles are written by Bruno, who created ChartFM. Each one shows its author and publication date; when the text changes after it goes live, the update date appears alongside.

The articles cover releases, artists, albums and how the charts work, always with ChartFM's own reading of the subject rather than just repeating the official announcement.

Where the numbers come from

Positions, weeks on chart and counts quoted in the articles come from ChartFM's own data: the personal charts the community publishes every week and the Global 100 built from them.

Release dates, tracklists and artist statements come from official announcements by artists, labels and platforms. When a number comes from ChartFM, the text says so.

Artificial intelligence

The English version of each article is translated with the help of artificial intelligence (Gemini), from the Portuguese text.

AI may also be used to expand a short text, with the instruction not to add facts. The result is reviewed before it stays live, and it can be undone.

Independence

ChartFM is not paid to feature an artist, song or album in an article, or to change a chart position. Charts come from the community's votes and personal charts.

If there is ever sponsored content or affiliate links, they will be labeled in the text itself.

Community writing

Reviews, comments and forum topics are written by people who use ChartFM and follow the terms of use. They are not edited by us, but they can be reported and removed.
